'Ben Rinnes View', watercolour, 58 x 37 cm.
Ben Rinnes is the highest mountain in Moray, in northern Scotland. At just over 2,700 feet it is classified as a Corbett. The mountain has a distinct triangular shape, as seen here, and a rocky summit - the views from up there are fantastic, and include most of north-east Scotland on a clear day! This view is from the Macallan bank, a tree-covered cliff above the old Craigellachie Bridge which spans the River Spey at its deepest point by Craigellachie. In this view, if you looked down and left, you'd see a birds-eye view of the bridge! The River Spey, below, meanders its way from Aberlour, which is just out of sight behind the tall trees, just beside the Spey.
The original painting is available at £195, mounted but unframed. If you can collect from us in Mosstodloch then we can frame the picture for you if you wish in one of our frames at a total cost of £235, ready to hang.
