'Brodie Castle', watercolour, 40 x 29 cm.
Brodie Castle, which is open to the public, stands in beautiful grounds a few miles west of Forres. The land has been in the family since the 12th Century but the castle wasn't built until the 16th, and converted to a stately home in the early 19th. The grounds are particularly famous for the many varieties of daffodils that grow here - and here's the view on a lovely sunny April morning!
The original painting was sold prior to publication.
