The Red Kirk is the parish church of Speymouth, covering the area to the immediate west of the mouth of the River Spey including the villages of Garmouth, Kingston and Mosstodloch - so this is our local parish kirk (church). Built in 1733 it is surrounded by trees that now largely overshadow it - it's very atmospheric. In particular, the four yew trees by the side of the kirk have grown quite large, and now hide most of the windows (and the side of the building!) I've trimmed them a bit here, to what they'd have been like a few years ago, allowing us to see the beautiful architecture of the kirk a bit better!
