'100 Years of 39 Squadron'
I was commissioned to paint this piece, which depicts all the aircraft flown by 39 Squadron RAF over their 100 year history. The main picture shows an armed Reaper unmanned aircraft, the Squadron's current aircraft, against the mountains and 'green zone' of Afghanistan. Behind it is a Canberra, the Squadron's longest-serving aircraft, and the BE2c in which Lieutenant William Leefe Robinson won the Victoria Cross during World War 1.
Limited Edition Prints available (of 139), 37 x 24 cm. £32 unmounted, £39 mounted ready to fit a 20 x 16" frame.
