'The Best Time!', watercolour, 58 x 37 cm.
This is the harbour mouth at Hopeman on the Moray Firth in northern Scotland. The painting recalls a childhood memory of harbour jumping (still a popular sport amongst the young locals!) in a thunderstorm. Whilst it was not something Mum and Dad would have approved of, the painting's owner remembers the 'best time', getting bruised by the wavesand stung by a jellyfish in the warm waters of the harbour's entrance.
The painting was sold by commission.
