'Seatown from Castle Hill, Cullen', watercolour, 55 x 36 cm.
The old fishermen's houses of Seatown nestle down by the beach and along the low shore by the harbour in Cullen. Here, Seatown is seen from Castle Hill above the old railway line. Cullen beach can also be seen at left with the famous 'Three Kings' rock formation on the beach and behind it. To the left of the beach you can see the shadows of the arches of the viaduct which used to carry the old railway line above the town. On the headland in the distance is the small village of Portknockie with Bow Fiddle Rock just peeking out around the headland!
The original painting is sold.
