'Edinburgh Castle from the Princes Street Gardens', watercolour, 39 x 27 cm.
This famous castle at the heart of the Scottish capital sits on an impressive hill of granite - an old volcanic core. The Princes Street gardens are a lovely place below the castle where may city-dwellers go to relax on a sunny day such as this! The painting was completed as a commission, and when asked to do it I was happy to find I had an old sketch and photo of this famous view!
The original painting was sold as a private commission.
