'The Boys at Walla Crag', watercolour, 73 x 52 cm.
The boys are sitting on this wonderful crag that looks down over Derwentwater in the English Lake District. Keswick is just out of 'shot' to the right. This was painted as a commission but I really enjoyed it as I grew up only about 30 miles from here. If you turned about 90 degrees to the right you would see Lattrigg, a hill close to keswick on which my late father and I flew model gliders when I was a boy. I enjoyed painting this view which has been etched on my memory these last 50 years!
This original painting was sold by commission.
