'The Peel Off', watercolour, 58 x 37 cm.
A Rafale fighter of the French Air Force 'peels off' from a Typhoon fighter of the Royal Air Force in an imaginary scene which celebrates the continued exchange of fighter pilots between the two air forces. 'The Peel Off' is the French Fighter Pilot's song, based on old hunting songs, which naturally contains its fair share of bawdy lyrics and is typically delivered on table top at maximum volume!
The painting was created as a commission to celebrate the departure of the outgoing French exchange officer.
