'The Forth Bridge at Sunset', watercolour, 39 x 28 cm.
This bridge was an architectural wonder when it was created and it still is a beautiful sight. I was commissioned to paint the bridge and, as soon as I realised that the best view was looking west, the sunset had to follow. The golden glow is therefore my own fabrication to go with the scene! One particular feature of this painting that I liked was the distant street lights. They remind me very much of childhood trips across the north-east of England, and I'll certainly use them again!
The painting was sold by commission.
