It's a sad day: the Sea King is being retired from the British Search and Rescue role. This venerable aircraft has been a familiar sight in the skies around where I live, and has done a fantastic job keeping us safe for over four decades. I couldn't let the occasion pass without paying tribute to the old girl and the crews who have operated her for such a long time. This is 'High Level Job', watercolour, 20 x 13" (51 x 33 cm). The original painting and a limited edition run of 100 15 x 10" prints are available to purchase.

I'm having a Spring Sale! From now until 15 May 2015, every one of my original watercolours are reduced in price by 10% - both on my website and in my 'Crafted' gallery, opposite Costas Coffee in Elgin High Street. Here is a selection of the paintings still for sale - if you've been fancying one, now's the time!
Just to let you know that limited edition fine giclee prints of 'Thunder over the Bay' are now available for sale. The prints are reproduced at the same size as the original - a little over 13 x 9" - and in a run of just 100. No more prints of this or any other size will be produced and some 70 have already gone after being offered for sale initially to my followers on social media. If you'd like one, please let me know - but quickly! The prints are supplied rolled into a cardboard tube for shipping and are available for just £27 each plus shipping, which for the UK is only £3, £5 for the US and as far afield as New Zealand. If you are one of those who have already purchased a print - thank you!
My latest painting: 'Covesea Sunset', watercolour, 19 x 13" (50 x 32 cm). Sometimes things stop you in your tracks. This was one of those occasions.
